Building Information

Vanier Court was built in 1975, is an owner-occupied building with several original owners still residing here. Our building is well run by our Strata Council (elected annually) in conjunction with our Property Manager.
There have been a few changes over that time but the sensible management and long-term planning over many councils has created a well-maintained building.
We hope you will come to appreciate the many amenities that our building has to offer.

Projects and Committees

The roof was replaced in 2000 and will be replaced again in 2024. Other completed projects include a domestic water piping replacement, a new domestic hot water boiler (2005), and a space-heating boiler replacement (2008). The front lobby and hallway decor was updated in 2009. The exterior lighting fixtures were replaced and upgraded to LED bulbs. A new Landscaping Plan was adopted by the Owners and many hardscape and softscape recommendations were implemented. Most interior lighting fixtures use LED bulbs.

In 2022, Vanier Court upgraded its elevator. For further information on this project, see the page on the Elevator Modernization Project.

Vanier Court expects that its roof will be upgraded in the next 5 years.

Annually, there are minor repair and maintenance projects.

Other major upgrades are in the planning stages, and are discussed at the General Meetings of Owners.

Owner’s participation in the building’s various committees make Vanier Court a wonderful place to live. All owners are invited to participate.
